The Building Process - Wall Framing - continued

Exterior Stud Wall w/ window

Inside view of an entire wall with top and bottom track, 8" wall studs and window and door openings installed. The wall is on a floor system.

Gable Framing

Gable end wall framed with walls framed centered on the red iron frames (wall-in-wall framing).

Balloon Framing

Balloon framing on gable end walls is used on some designs to provide stronger and easier to install wall framing. Balloon framing is when the wall studs run from the bottom track all the way to the bottom of the roof purlins.
