How To Buy An Excalibur Steel Home

    Excalibur Steel Structures makes the purchase of our steel-frame home packages simple. We do not require distributor fees or use complicated discount formulas.
    Excalibur Steel Structures specializes in doing custom designs. And, if you have purchased a set of plans that were designed for conventional wood framing, we are able to convert them to our unique steel framing system. Whether you have a full set of architectural plans, self-made plans using a "home architect program", or rough sketches, we can help.
    To receive an estimate on your plans, sketches, or ideas, simply mail or fax them, along with our "Quote Form". You may also email them.

We need some information...

Minimum Information Needed For An Estimate:
A.	Location you are building.
B.	Floor plan with at least the major dimensions.
C.	Front, rear and side elevations or on simpler designs just the roof pitch will do.
D.	Ceiling heights.
E.	Foundation type (basement. crawl space, slab, piers, etc).
F.	Wind, snow, and/or seismic loads or other requirements in your area (check your local county building dept.)
G.	Any special floor or roof loads or other special requirements due to unusual materials or conditions.
H.	Be sure to write your name, address and phone number(s) on the plans.

Additional Material For Faster And Better Estimates:
A.	A scaled set of plans (required on more complicated plans).
B.	Plans drawn in AutoCAD (.DWG) or .DXF file formats (stored on CD, DVD, Zip, floppy, E-mail).
C.	Roof plan and/or building sections.
D.	Changes marked clearly on the plans.
E.	Some flexibility with design changes that improve the steel design and lower cost?
F.	Mail instead of faxing plans so they are easier to read.
